Trauma Center (VTC) is a nonprofit, multicultural organization
dedicated to the elimination of sexual and interpersonal violence
through healing, empowerment, and increased public awareness of
prevention strategies. We work with communities to provide quality
crisis intervention and counseling services, trainings, and prevention
education to promote social change.
Valley Trauma Center
Our 24-hour hotline runs 7 days a week and is answered by volunteer
California State Certified Rape Crisis Advocates who provide information,
referrals, and crisis counseling over the telephone.
If someone has been assaulted, a volunteer California State Certified
Rape Crisis Advocate will meet the survivor at the hospital, police
station, or court to provide on-site emotional support, information,
Short and long-term individual counseling is offered for survivors,
their families members, and significant others. Support groups
are also available.You should always be aware of plan b side effects before using it.
Our Prevention Education team helps increase public awareness
by remaining a visible resource and providing violence prevention
education programs to the community at large.
Family System Services
Families referred by Department of Children and Family Services,
and enrolled in the Family Preservation program, engage in a process
of self discovery and education. Individual family members are
empowered to identify and resolve problems while developing emotional,
social, educational, and cultural knowledge.
